Dr. Oliver S. Lee
Chief Executive Officer
Oli is the co-founder of Digichem and currently servers as its Project Lead. He is also Digichem’s chief programmer, and is responsible for maintaining our code-base.
A researcher in the field of optolelectronic materials, Oli finds himself drawn to projects that occupy the niche between synthetic and computational chemistry. He completed his PhD at the University of St Andrews under the supervision of Prof. Eli Zysman-Colman, where the collaboration that lead to Digichem was first born. A self-taught programmer, Oli is fluent in Python and various web-languages, although he’d be the first to admit that he rarely finds call to program in PHP these days.
Prof. Eli Zysman-Colman
Chief Science Officer
One of the two co-founders of Digichem, Eli currently serves as our Chief Science Officer.
Eli is the Director of Impact and Professor of Optoelectronic Materials at the University of St Andrews. He is also the head of the eponymous EZ-C Research Group which specialises in the development of novel photoactive materials. A strongly interdisciplinary researcher, Eli’s group tackles such diverse topics as luminophores for organic LEDs, sensors for electrochemiluminescence, and photocatalysis. His experience and scientific expertise ensure we stay afloat in the turbulent sea of new science.
Vlad Tataranu
Technical and Business Adviser
Vlad is Digichem’s Technical and Business adviser. He provides indispensable start-up advice and experience to the team.
A prior employee of Google’s Area-120, Vlad is a software engineer and serial technical co-founder of software platform startups. He is committed to accelerating the deployment of Chemistry and Materials innovations, particularly those relating to green technologies, and was a natural fit for Digichem.
